OVERVIEW This 12HP wide module marries a high quality 24dB VCF and VCA plus an ADSR envelope generator in the style of the ARP 2500 dual modules (Filt Amp, Mod Amp). An elegant design that pairs well with the AMSynths range of 2500 style modules or any Eurorack system. 
  

DESCRIPTION An AS3372 chip is used to create a 24dB VCF with Q compensation with the frequency cutoff controlled by a large rotary control and two CV inputs. Both CV inputs are attenuated by rotary potentiometers and the first is normalised to the output of the Envelope Output. Resonance is Q compensated and adjusted via a rotary potentiometer.

The inputs to the AS3372 are controlled by VCA's with a single MIX control varying the level of the second input. The output of the VCF goes via a high quality VCA which is controlled by an external control voltage, or the Envelope Ouput or a fixed voltage.

The digital ADSR can be adjusting in three ways, beyond the normal variable ADSR stages. The curve of the envelope generator can be set to exponential or linear by the green LED, the mode of the ADSR can be changed from normal to LFO by pressing the blue LED.

The timing of the ADSR can be set using the three way slide switch (L, M, S), from a long setting of 10s, a medium setting of 1s and a short setting of 100ms.

The envelope stages are controlled by 20mm slide potentiometers with subtle red LED's. The ADSR can be manually gated ON/OFF with a red LED push button, or the gate and trigger jack sockets can be used with a keyboard or sequencer to activate the envelope.

CONNECTIONS There are nine 3.5 mm jack sockets on the front panel:

• MIX - audio input with level potentiometer
• INA - audio input with no level potentiometer
• CV1 - control voltage input for frequency cutoff (with attenuation)
• CV2 - control voltage inputs for frequency cutoff (with attenuation)

• VCA-CV - control voltage (0 to +10V)
• VCA-ON - push button to set a fixed CV into the VCA

Envelope Generator

• GATE - Eurorack compliant +5V gate signal input
• TRIG - Eurorack compliant +5V trigger signal input
• OUT - envelope output (0 to +10V)

There are high quality Alpha rotary potentiometers for adjusting frequency cutoff, resonance, signal input two (MIX) and two control input levels (CV1, CV2). The Envelope Genartor has four 20mm slide potentiometers with subtle red LED's for adjusting the ATTACK, DECAY, SUSTAIN and RELEASE settings of the envelope. A manual push button activates the envelope which illumiates RED when the gate is active.

A green LED push button selects expo/linear waveforms and a blue LED selects whether the envelope generator acts as a normal ADSR or as a continuous LFO. A thee way slide switch selects the envlope timings.

A latching push buttn controls whether the CV controlling the VCA is fixed or internal/external.

The module comes with a set of M3 mounting screws and washers, and a standard Doepfer power cable
