OVERVIEW
This module is a replica of the Roland Jupiter 6 (1983) voltage controlled filter which comprises two 2-pole State Variable filters in series.

DESCRIPTION Forty years later the AM8060 contains the same two SVF's, with each of the 2-pole filters switchable into either Low Pass or High Pass mode providing three VCF modes all with variable resonance.

  • 24dB Low Pass Filter
  • 24dB High Pass Filter
  • 12dB Band Pass Filter (two versions)

In 2023 the AM8060SE has been re-issued; with Rpar AS3109 chips, a revised resonance control circuit, original Roland JP-6 momentary buttons with LED's and black aluminium control knobs. Resonance and frequency cutoff can be controlled by external CV signals, typically from 0 to +10V.

CONNECTIONS There are six 3.5mm jack sockets on the right of the front panel;

  • 2x audio inputs
  • 2x frequency control voltages
  • 1x resonance control voltage
  • 1x audio signal output

The module comes with a set of M3 mounting screws and washers, and a standard Doepfer power cable.

A filter with real character
5/5
Alan Maxwell
This filter is really terrific, as characterful as I hoped for. Capable for producing modern sound design tones as well as old school vibes. Glad i managed to get this into the kit bag. Keep your eyes peeled for it.

I have no Jupiter 6 so I can't validate the accuracy of sound but it sounds good to me and adds a useful flavour to the setup. Plus, the modules are really well made and backed up by excellent support. Happy punter here.

The sound of this filter takes me back to the 80s. Very well built and one of my favourite!
