AM1046 Quad Env Gen

OVERVIEW The AM1046 is a 16HP module that replicates the original Quad Envelope Generator module from the ARP 2500. With the addition of the AM1046E Expander module every feature of the original ARP design is available - including sustain.

DESCRIPTION The module contains two DADSR and two ADSR envelope generators, just like the original. The left and right DADSR and ADSR have been paired together. Each envelope generator has its own normal output (0V to 10V), and the ADSR of each pair has a Trigger input and Inverted Output.

The envelope generators are activated either by a Eurorack gate signal connected to the GATE input jack socket or by pressing the momentary push button. A red LED within the button indicates when the envelope generator is active (prior to the Release cycle). 

The 4HP AM1046E expansion module provides all the CV connections to fully replicate the original ARP design. The Trigger inputs for the DADSR's are available (normalised to their ADSR pair), plus all four "sustain" inputs, and the inverted outputs of the DADSR's. 

The Trigger input for each Env Gen is normalised to the respective Gate input, which makes the originals single/multiple toggle switch redundant, which saves panel space. Normalisation was not possible on the ARP 2500, as it used matrix switches.

The Attack, Decay and Release times for each DADSR and ADSR pair can be set using a momentary switch. When the green LED is OFF the timing is set to the original ARP values, when the green LED is ON the timing is increased by a factor of 5x.

CONNECTIONS There are twelve 3.5 mm jack sockets on the AM1046, and a further eight on the AM1046E:

• Gate Input - Eurorack friendly gate ON/OFF signal 
• Trigger Input - Eurorack friendly pulse (5V p-t-p) 
• Sustain Input - Eurorack friendly gate ON/OFF signal 
• Env Gen Output - control voltage (0 to +10V) 
• Inverted Output - inverted control voltage (0 to -10V) 

High quality Alpha potentiometers, and Rogan RB67 knobs have been used to ensure control voltages can be easily set and adjusted.

The module comes with a set of M3 mounting screws and washers, and a standard 16-way Doepfer power cable.
